After a UEFA meeting on April 23 11 countries will now host Euro 2020.

Due to the logisitical concerns posed by the pandemic there were talks about doing away with a multiple-city tournament but those doubts were quelled. Euro 2020 will be held in 13 cities with the semi-finals and final played at the same stadium Uefa has announced. As a result 12 cities are going to host the tournament with games being played in one ground from each city. Despite being favourites to host the final Turkey withdrew its bid to host the final at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul in favour of bidding to host UEFA Euro 2024.
